Corporation in 1983, retired Lanier CEO Gene
W. Milner, a Lanier employee since 1953, and his son Hicks,
founded Milner Voice & Data with the goal
of continuing the Lanier legacy of supplying world-class
voice and data technology solutions.

J. Hicks Lanier founded The Lanier Company
1953
Gene W. Milner joins Lanier
1975
Hicks Milner joins Lanier as a Sales Rep in Houston, TX.
1981
Hicks Milner takes the Sales Manager position in the Atlanta, GA office.
1983
Harris Corporation acquires Lanier Business Products. Retired Lanier President
and CEO Gene W. Milner, and his son
Hicks, founded Milner Business Products. The corporate headquarters
office was opened in Atlanta, GA
1986
The district office in Pompano Beach was opened. This location services
the Florida area.
2000
Milner Business Products changes their name to Milner Voice & Data
2003
Milner Voice & Data expands their service offering and forms Milner
Transcription Services.
This sister company produces more than thirty million lines of medical documentation
a year.
